Matthew Helders (May 7, 1986), as a drummer, has already confessed that he just kept the instrument because it was the only thing left, since when starting the band, Alex and Cook also did not play. In addition to the drums, Matt is the main backvocal of the Monkeys and even has songs on the CD as the main voice: in Brick By Brick and D Is for Dangerous. In You Probably Couldn’t See for the Lights but You Were Staring Straight at Me, Who the Fuck Are Arctic Monkeys? and Teddy Picker, Helders' voice is also very present. Director of several remixes, he has worked together with We Are Scientists, Duran Duran and The Hives. Matt is a DJ and has a solo album, Late Night Tales: Matt Helders (2008).
